Appliance Insurance Hell

 As part of our closing cost package, we recieved a two year home warranty program. They went on to inform us that this was a $2,000.00 deal they were offering and we readily accepted. Since then we have had two of our appliances go out on us; our stove and refridgerator. Two weeks and numerous hours on hold, with Home Protect, we still are without either appliance. (At least its not January and the furnace went out.)
We're completely disgusted with the whole package. From the customer care person that lost our information to give to the repairman, to the repairman himself. This guy claims to have 30 years of experience under his belt and will now be making a third trip to repair the same appliance. Ugh!

We've made way too many phone calls to make all of this happen and we're still not out of the woods yet. They won't fix our stove because it fell under normal wear and tear. This situation is hardly normal. Mice climbed into the stove while the house sat vaccant and left some things behind that render the stove completely useless.

To finish a long story, homewarranty insurance is a joke and the Home Protect Company set the bar for low standards.
